MAPE seeks your input for next year’s legislative priorities

Next year’s legislative session will be challenging for MAPE, depending upon the outcome of this fall’s election. DFL Gov. Mark Dayton isn’t running for re-election and the entire Republican-led House is up for election.

As we get ready for the 2019 legislative session, MAPE’s Government Relations Committee (GRC) is seeking your input for our legislative priorities. This input pertains to all issues except those dealing with contract negotiations. (Negotiations input is taken at a different time.)

This is your opportunity to provide input into MAPE’s legislative program and help guide MAPE’s political staff on issues. All submissions will be reviewed by the GRC. The GRC will then make a recommendation to this September’s Delegate Assembly for final approval.

Putting your negotiations input aside, please provide feedback for next year’s legislative priorities by Friday, June 15, to the GRC at action@mape.org. You can review our 2018 legislative priorities here: www.mape.org/mape/news/legislative-priorities-2018.

We appreciate your feedback on what you believe should be a priority next year. Thank you!
