More than two dozen members from Local 1101 joined together again this year to make the holidays brighter for children across Minnesota.

The local continued its Community Service Days tradition by holding a gift drive for Toys for Tots. Sgt. Jake Ellis accepted dozens of toys and cash donations at the nonprofit’s drop-off center in New Hope.
Local 1101 Vice President Halie Rostberg said her local “is grateful for the opportunity to participate in MAPE’s Community Service Days.”
Last year, the local was awarded gift cards from MAPE for the high number of members who participated in last year’s Toys for Tots drive.

“We were able to donate those gift cards to another of our favorite charities, Second Harvest Heartland,” Rostberg said. “Times are tough and uncertain for so many of our community members at this time, and we appreciate the chance to give back.”
MAPE’s Community Service Days encourages locals to give back to the communities they serve over the holidays. This year’s volunteer program ends Dec. 22. Please let MAPE know about your local’s service projects at CSD@mape.org.
