Congratulations to Minnesota Lt. Gov. Tina Smith, who was named today by Gov. Mark Dayton to replace Al Franken in the U.S. Senate.
“As Lt. Governor, Tina Smith worked with Governor Dayton to invest in working families, not just the privileged few,” said MAPE Statewide President Chet Jorgenson. “Tina understands the importance of good schools, quality health care and modern roads and bridges.
"In the Senate, Tina will continue this work -- to expand economic opportunity for all Minnesotans, no matter where they live.”
