Help MAPE strengthen our role in the labor community! Discuss building coalitions with author Amanda Tattersall and other union/community leaders.
Amanda Tattersall is an Australian union and community organizer and author of Power in Coalition, a book about how to build successful coalitions based on campaigns in the United States, Canada and Australia.
She will lead a discussion about coalitions and launch the book in St. Paul on this Thursday:
WHAT: A discussion of a new book, Power in Coalition, about best practice labor-community alliances with the author Amanda Tattersall
WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 2
TIME: 7p.m.
WHERE: Common Good Bookstore, 165 Western Avenue North, Saint Paul, MN
WHY: MAPE needs informed members, strengthened community ties and to form new coalitions. Examine the benefits of coalitions and help revilalize the union movement. Find out what makes a successful or unsucessful coalition.
