MAPE honors victims of bus crash with $5,000 donation

MAPE presented a check for $5,000 to the Lakeview School Memorial/Survivor Fund on Thursday for the families of the victims of the school bus crash last week.

In the photo on the right, MAPE Region 18 Director Cindy Kragenbring (far right), presented the check to Lakeview Superintendent Sheldon Johnson (center). Pictured on the left is Brenda Lynner, who manages the memorial/survivor fund at United Southwest Bank in Cottonwood. Region 18 includes the Cottonwood area.

In the photo at the right, flowers, cards and posters fill the Lakeview School lobby. Superintendent Johnson said the school has heard from people all across this state and country, and one well-wisher from Japan.
