- Mark Dreyer reported on MAPE board meeting. He informed the membership that negotiations was the major topic discussed. In a previous meeting he was asked to address the board regarding if the locals were going to receive more money because of the dues increase. He said it is being addressed by the finance committee and would get back to us when he finds out further information.
- 1st, 2nd motion given for discussion of the $15.00 rebate for participation in the fitness center located at Empire Dr. Some discussion ensued. Motion passed with a majority vote. Julie B will contact the health club contacts to get a list of MAPE members enrolled in the center. Tambra will submit list to MAPE central to mail out the checks.
- Kiley Breda informed us what was going on in negotiations. She stated not a lot could be said until the March 15th meeting between MAPE and Administration. Did say health costs and a wage increase were the major topics on membership's minds. Was asked about a lower cost on the fitness center memberships. Said that was on the table. She said if anyone wanted to give her their home e-mail addresses she would inform them on current negotiations. She said there would be very little information on the MAPE website.
- Tom Dougherty talked about negotiations. Mentioned mileage went up to 48.5 as of 1/1/2007. If anyone is not receiving this contact him. He also mentioned in October, 2006 the minute clinics became available to everyone. Co-pay is only $10.00 and goes toward your out of pocket.
- Julie B talked about some of the ways the Health Coalition is looking at cutting health costs. Health management assessment, universal prescription, prescriptions by mail encouraging maintenance of chronic illness were a few topics.
