SEGIP has 35 million dollar surplus – will be reduction in
health care premiums on 1-9-09 to 3.5% from 10.6%.
-Will be limit on increase for 2009-2010 premiums.
-Each state employee will be receiving a $250 health
care debit card on 1-9-09 that will not expire.

*Old Business: Membership Drive – Recruited 34 members from fairshare status.
Increased our membership to 75.46%
Officers described experiences – very positive.
Region was pilot for new type of recruiting.
Cost was $4986.84.
*New Business: 10-08 Membership Drive – Scharmer and Marka will be coordinating
second membership drive. Matter continued
to 9-9-08 meeting.
Service awards of $200 to be distributed to officers (still need secretary)
