MAPE members are reminded not to use the State system for confidential information, but may send out e-mails for meetings dates and times.
Full membership is encouraged as it is stronger when negotiating contracts. MAPE’s membership runs just below 70%.
Mike Terhune spoke about meeting with the Governor’s team in the last 6 weeks. They are getting monetary issues off the table, and would like to get done by 06-30-07. Push week is 06-25-07. Wages and insurance are the big issues. Members need to contact their legislators and talk to them. Members can also go online, under the MAPE website and go to Cap Wiz, which has a letter that can be used. Any questions, you can e-mail Mike at mterhune@gmail.com.
“Corrections Early Retirement” is an issue, as well as Health insurance. Also being looked at are unpaid leaves of absences. Please review all negations on the MAPE website.
The Hay Study is at the MN Appellate Court. The Hay Study for caseworkers is going after inequity.
Snow grievance filed. DHS refused to hear the grievance, so it has gone to the next level. Will be a long time before anything is heard.
Meeting adjourned by Wayne Williams and seconded by Janie Pentland.
