| About 30 people attended MAPE Local 1301's membership appreciation dinner Wednesday night at Biff’s Sports Bar in Spring Lake Park. Local 1301 President Thant Pearson welcomed the members and guests. He also encouraged the members to talk about the dinner meeting with their coworkers. All full members received a sweatshirt and potted plant for attending. Joe McMahon, MAPE business agent, commented on the importance of recruiting fair share members to full membership to send a clear message to the governor that MAPE state employees are serious about the upcoming contract negotiations. All members and guests were treated to appetizers, soft drinks and dinner. |
