MAPE's contract passes state House
By a vote of 128 to 1, MAPE's contract, and other state bargaining unit agreements, was passed by the Minnesota House of Representatives on Wednesday.
House File 3138, which included MAPE's contract, was carried by state Representative Karla Bigham.
Last year, the MAPE contract was passed with the support of 89 percent of our voting members, signed by members of the Pawlenty administration and unanimously approved by the Legislative Coordinating Commission Subcommittee on Employee Relations.
There is just one step left now before MAPE's contract goes to the Governor's Office: state Senate passage. Please contact your senator and urge them to support immediate passage of the MAPE contract.
