Updated preliminary health-care clinic cost levels for 2008 …
DOER has released the updated preliminary health-care clinic cost levels for the 2008 plan year.
Please note that this is a "preliminary" list only -- the list will be updated when changes are received. MAPE members are encouraged to check back prior to open enrollment or check the DOER website at www.doer.state.mn.us, since there may be minor adjustments, such as additional new clinics or fee schedule negotiations resulting in decreased cost level.
Here's how to read the clinic list: To find your clinic, in the cost level document linked in at the bottom of this page, look in the second column from the left (“county”) and scroll down until you find your county of residence. Then, look in the third column from the left to find your city of residence.
From there, you can find your clinic’s name (fifth column from the left) and your health-care plan (in the far left column: BC = Blue Cross, HP = HealthPartners, P1 = PreferredOne.) The second column in from the far right-hand side of the page shows the preliminary cost level of your clinic for the 2008 plan year. Please also check the column on the far right-hand side for important notes.
Here are changes from DOER that are included in this update of the preliminary clinic list: The Regina Medical Group is being purchased Oct. 1, 2007, by Allina, which is a cost level 3. The Regina Medical Group has three locations: Cottage Grove, Prescott, and Hastings. The Cottage Grove location will be closing effective Oct. 1, 2007, and members have been notified. Despite the Allina purchase as of Oct. 1, the Prescott and Hastings locations will remain at cost level 2 for the balance of 2007 and then move to a cost level 3 as of Jan. 1, 2008.
Regina is a current cost level 2 provider and has total membership of about 235 members with the three administrators. Blue Cross Blue Shield has 99 members between the Cottage Grove and Hastings locations and 8 members in Prescott. HealthPartners has 88 members in the Hastings location, 3 members in the Prescott location, and 7 members in Cottage Grove. PreferredOne has 22 members in Hastings, 1 member in Prescott, and 4 members in Cottage Grove. This movement to cost level 3 should not impact access.
- Cottage Grove: Members who are seen at the Cottage Grove location (which is closing October 1) will have access at the HealthEast Clinic in Cottage Grove at a cost level 2.
- Hastings: The members who use the Hastings location will have cost level 2 access in Cottage Grove (9 miles from Hastings), Red Wing (25 miles from Hastings), and access to several St. Paul and south Maplewood clinics within 30 miles.
- Prescott, Wisconsin: Prescott members will have cost level 2 access in Red Wing (23 miles from Prescott), Lake Elmo (20 miles), Oakdale (22 miles), Stillwater (27 miles), and Woodbury (18 miles).
