Canadian prescription option for state employees is back online with formulary list expansion
Minnesota Advantage Meds, the Canadian prescription option for state employees, is back online. The Canadian pharmacy, Total Care Pharmacy (TCP), has completed its move to Winnipeg, Manitoba, and is now licensed and regulated by the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association. According to the Department of Employee Relations, a recent inspection of the new location by the Minnesota departments of Human Services and Employee Relations confirmed that TCP continues to satisfy all requirements for providing state employees prescription drugs.
Visit the Advantage Meds website (www.advantage-meds.com) to consider whether this would be a good option for obtaining maintenance prescription drugs at no cost.
In conjunction with this, there is an expansion of the formulary list of available drugs that are available at no cost to employees. Please see the below chart for more details. (A "Yes" under one of the health plan columns indicates a drug and specific dosage available through that plan. A "New" indicates a drug that has been added. A blank under the health plan column indicates that drug is not available through that health plan.
TCP will contact all employees who have a pending orders to confirm the status of the order and to assure that the individual still wants the order filled.
