MSP:  Not to uphold the decision of the Arb team and to recommend to the board of directors that the grievance should go to arbitration.

• Arbitration denial appeal hearing - Grievance #07-08-5022
• Jamie Fitzpatrick (Region 5) assisting steward
• 12:00 Time Certain - Document review
• A request to audio record the hearing by the grievant was denied by chair.
• 1:00 PM Time Certain – Hearing

MSF:  Motion to uphold the decision of the Arbitration Team and not send the grievance to arbitration.
MSP:  Motion to overturn the Arbitration Team decision and recommend to the Board of Directors to send the grievance to arbitration.
MSP:   Deb S., Mike L., Andy B., Chet J. will ask to discuss issues coming out of this hearing with Jim Monroe and Bob Haag

• Empower our stewards with improved training
• Many stewards need to be more active in locals including recruitment and communications
• Ensure that every grievance has a MAPE steward working with the member and the business agent
